A Poem

"I Pray"

Lord, let me hear from you today
soften my heart to yield I pray,
Let not the world and all it's charm
drown out thy voice and lead me to harm.

For in my heart I surely know-
to only You my soul belongs...
not to men, or earthly fame,
not for worldly treasures or earthly gains.

Lord, remind me of my true home
not made of any rock, wood or stone,
but lying beyond where the eyes could not see-
in heavenly places with you I will be.

I know one day I will walk through
the great beyond, beyond the blue-
where I could finally behold thy face...
and thank you for your mercy and your grace.

Thy grace which hath transformed my life,
covered me with your blood to become
a worthy sacrifice...
My Lord, no words could ever express
and my heart doth overflow with gratefulness.

Lord Jesus Christ, My Lord and King
worthy of all the praise my mouth could sing
just let me sit at thy feet I pray
and hear from You from day to day.
Until the last setting of the sun shall come
and the last trump hath sounded on...
I will at last rise and walk to Zion
way beyond the blue horizon.

False Prophets

0

Posted on Sunday, September 12, 2010 | By Kaye | In , ,

I think we would all be in agreement when I say that we are living in the end times...the signs are becoming reality all around us. The prophesies in the Bible from a thousand years back are now taking place right in front of our eyes- natural disasters, wars and rumours of wars, famine, diseases, woman worship, immorality all abound and has become a natural phenomenon so much so, that we only shrug our shoulders when we read about them in papers or in the net.
Women have never been so stripped of dignity and integrity in all the generations before- we have our young women near-naked walking down our streets everyday- current fashion suggested that an oversize top and black stockings are okay and so at first glance really- I asked myself 'why aren't they wearing any skirt? or something?' and of course if you tell them off they would snicker and say that we are old school when the truth is- there are demonic spirits behind all these, including fashion. 'Death' signs are so pronounced in clothing items- such as skulls, crossbones, flames...sometimes you have to wonder where all this things are coming from and if we pay attention - all these comes from the bowels of Hell itself. They are not from God.

The whole world is physically heaving with earthquakes and other natural calamities- just heaving and groaning for her cleansing. That is what the Bible says- it is just so heavy with filth physically and spiritually and the whole creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God so the scripture would be fulfilled and the world can be cleansed with fire. Yes, that is correct and I know truth is uncomfortable but Revelation's prophecy says that the physical world will be consumed by fire to cleanse it- it will stand the fire it won't get annihilated completely but the earth's atmosphere and the material world atop it will completely burn. That statement alone represents the spiritual- how we have to be cleansed by the Holy Spirit from the inside out and every filth burned out of us by God so He could come in and sup with us, see.

One of the signs spoken of in the bible was about false prophets and how there would be an abundance of people professing Christ and yet denying the power thereof (2 Tim.3:5) in the end times. These people too may be sincere and think they are just standing up for the truth (that they know) however their belief does not really line up with the Scripture, they are merely representing themselves and what THEY think in THEIR opinion is right. They tailor fit the Word to their needs, in other words 'custom-made' to their taste instead of the other way around- and obey the Word in it's purest form with a spirit of yielding obedience, meekness and surrender, once again only through the spirit of Christ can we really obey the Word see. Only then could our spiritual eyes be really open. Only then and God's spirit in us would not take compromise. Ever.

We hear about people who claim they know Jesus and yet deny healing, some believe in healing and deny the five-fold ministry, some now allow homosexual marriages in their church, some allow women preachers when the Bible categorically states that a woman should not preach (I Cor. 14:34)...That hurts but look it up- search the scripture and see for yourself. There are many more doctrines that at first glance- looks pretty sound but still has an element of lie or perversion of God's Word. This generation has become so desensitized to false teachings that some do not care or bother anymore but that is my challenge to you- to seek Christ and know Him personally. False prophets are indeed real and there is a demonic spirit anointing them for the very purpose of confusing people and diverting them to the wrong path instead of to God, leading them farther away from God actually and deeper into sin and wickedness.

BUT our God is a good God and He is wise- this is the good part. He knows that the enemy will thwart and pervert His word and false teachings and prophets will arise in the end days but God has his own prophets. Now, I know this is hard for some to understand and skeptics will now start raising their eyebrows...but before you think otherwise- you do believe there are false prophets and if there are false then there are definitely GENUINE, Holy Ghost filled prophets for our day.
To put it more crudely and not disrespecting the Word but- it's something like a game of chess, see...the devil is merely copying what God is doing BUT of course anything that does not come from God or initiated by God  is perverted. So, if we use logic then that is the logic. Although logic is not what we need to understand this- we need God's spirit and revelation for our enlightenment, so do pray while you read this.
Just a verse to support this assertation:
"Behold I will send to you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord" Malachi 4:5
I am not a preacher and I am sharing deep things now so I would rather give you a link to browse which would better explain all this and I hope you would give God a chance to reveal who He really is and what He has in store for those who truly want to know Him. I feel that there are people out there who wants more of Christ and so if you feel the Holy Spirit is leading you to a higher ground then this is for you-

If you want to listen to messages then I suggest you browse the links I have put in my sidebar under the 'Christian Sites' and may you be filled and blessed. The Word is like a compass, the Word is like our fuel and the Holy Ghost is what will teach us and tutor us to grow Word upon Word in Christ. May the Spirit of Christ come in to your heart and break bread with you- for the deep will call unto the deep. Amen. All glory to Jesus Christ.

Keeping The Faith

4

Sometimes, I wish I could just stop time and everything would just freeze, literally...or slow down or something. Life gets too busy. There are so many things that we feel like doing, we feel we 'need' to do, ought to do, have to achieve- we hardly ever stop for anything. The whole world is too driven.
There are days when life just gets too busy, too demanding and  I sometimes feel that I am being pulled in into another world, a world whose focus is anything but godly...and that's just what it is. There is a culture that we step into for just about everything and I know that is just the way the world works really but for a christian- it is just not us. I know for me it isn't and I just have this gentle nudging in my heart to put the brakes on and just stop. Stop whatever I am doing and spend time on the Word, listen to messages and pray. I just want to spend some alone time with Jesus.

Technology and life is just driving men to a maddening pursuit of whatever it is- mostly material or fame or reputation and it's just not right is it? what we really need most is God. It is His presence in our lives, it's His Word living in us, it's His grace and mercy that we should be desperate for and not waste all of our time and effort on temporal things.

I need to remind myself especially also- well, it is the Lord really who is reminding me, because now that I am almost finished with my degree and ready for a job soon- I can already feel the pressure of working myself mad. I know we have personal goals but I really do not want to be consumed with these things, see. I made the decision that I would keep my place at home- be a good mother and wife and homemaker despite my career. That I would keep my Lord first before everything else.
I was pondering on these things when I was reminded of the story about Mary and Martha- how Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and Martha despite her good intentions- decided to do other things instead. This reminded me of how the flesh and the spirit war against each other- the inner man led by the Holy Ghost desires to be with Jesus, to sup with Him, to spend time with Him and the flesh is just driven to do other things. Therein lies the battle, friends.

We need to keep still for God to be able to speak to us. We need to literally stop on our track and give time to Jesus- not out of obligation but out of love for Him. We need to stop professing our love for God with our lips and actually 'do' what we say. We have to walk the talk and it has to be a lived experience. And I say this for all of us who say that we are christian and that we love Christ. Love is not love until it is expressed. It truly is not. Being a half-hearted christian is not following Christ at all...we have to surrender all and we have to die daily to our own selves. That is the cross that we carry.

I know that sounds rather tough and it will be tough if we do it by our own strength. We just have to trust God when he says that His grace is sufficient for our needs. That scripture should be alive in our lives. That is the challenge- the world is waiting to see Christ in you and me. The Bible says that the world is groaning for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God (Romans 8:19) and although there is a population who mocks at believers, I truly believe that there are people out there who really want to see Christ in this day and age...people who thirst for truth, hope and God.

We are the Bride body of Jesus Christ, literally. Genuine, Holy Ghost filled believers carry a portion of God within them, for they come from Him and they will shine His light out onto the world. We represent Christ- and I hope you know the revelation of the responsibility attached to that. We know that not all who says they are christian- truly are...it's the manifest love in our hearts for Christ and towards others which shows our true colors. If we love God we will obey Him and his word, we will strive to please Him and every motivation and inspiration comes from Him and is done for Him. He becomes our everything, our daily bread and our very breath. We don't dress appropriately for others to see, we don't do good works to show off and impress other people or gain credit for it but we do all things unto Christ. Out of love for Christ...

On the other hand we can be sincere as sincere can be and yet when we stumble on a scripture which demands obedience- we see that as a wall and because it hurts too much to give things up, we just halt to a stop and we don't move onwards...we want to keep a small portion to ourselves, we might've given God 99% but kept 1% to ourselves- I mean a measly portion, you say. But God works differently my friend- the only way to gain Him is to give up ALL of ourselves...He wants the house swept clean of any carnal thing before He could come in and dwell in us. He wants to see the Word there.
I just encourage everyone, including myself- to spend more time with Jesus, to feed on the Word, to re-assess our life priorities, to pray for a closer and more honest walk with Jesus Christ. He is everything we need and more- and I do say that from my heart and from my life experience.
The world and all it's shimmer is just a facade for death and rottenness- that is the truth. The world is dying, there is no more life in it. The only true life is in Jesus Christ only. Let us choose Him.
